First winter Red Rocks show was historic!
I attended "Icelantic", the first EVER winter concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre (1/27/12) with my boyfriend and friend. I was very worried about being cold out there standing for so long, that I basically dressed as if I were going skiing/riding. Being the audience was so packed together, I was pretty happy with my temperature:) It even snowed a bit.
We arrived late and missed Greives and a small part of Common's set, but what we saw was excellent. Great songs!
It was about a half hour or so before Atmosphere came out. A DJ played music while folks utilized the intermission. It would've been nice if the venue had (more?) outside heaters. Security was pretty chill. My b/f and I ended up being skwooshed into a roped off area directly in front of the stage (row 8) and by the end of the show, that area was just a rope around more people who had also decided to trespass.
Show ended around 11pm, and it was fairly easy to get out of the venue and to our warm(er) cars.
